The Consolidated Manufacturing Center (CMC) in McKinney TX is seeking a dedicated and experienced highprecision CNC Machinist to join our 1st shift team. The CNC Machinist will setup and operate CNC axis machines and jig bore machines meeting precision specifications outlined in the work instructions ensuring operations are efficient safe and quality requirements are achieved. Relocation not offered.
What You Will Do:
- Castings
- Create fixtures and tooling
- Set up 3 4 and 5axis CNC machines
- Methodize and program CNC machines
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Job requires standing 8090% and walking short distances 1020% bending at the waist 20% lifting and/or carrying < 28lbs.
- Schedule: 9/80 (every other Friday off)
- Job opening is for 1st shift but must be flexible to work 2nd or 3rd shift if business demands require.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Relevant experience is as follows:
- Methodize program setup and operate 3 4 and 5axis CNC machines.
- Work with jig bore machines holding highprecision tolerances.
- Work history of using basic hand tools.
- U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Past use of PPE
- Experience with surface quality standards and inspection methods.
- Basic knowledge of cutting tools as well as speeds and feeds are preferred.
- Ability to follow directions and attention to detail.
- Strong multitasking skills; must be able to run multiple machines in a cell environment.
- Dexterity to handle components with care.
- Strong basic mathematical skills
