This HR Intern role is an exciting opportunity to learn and provide core HR support for the Family History Department as they strive to move the work of the Lord forward. This position will report to the HR Generalist and is on the Family History Department HR Operations Team.
This position is primarily for providing valuable educational experiences for the Intern. It is to give the Intern an opportunity to see how principles and practices learned in their educational institutions are applied in actual work settings.
We are looking for someone who is constantly looking for ways to improve the organization and improve as an individual.
Successful candidates will be responsible to do the following:
Assist with posting and tracking various positions
Guide new hires through the preboarding process
Gain exposure to various HR operations duties including employee requests for ADA FMLA AWA etc.
Assist HR Generalist with daily tasks
Provide insights on process improvement throughout the department
Other duties as assigned depending on need
The Intern is expected to meet rigid and challenging deadlines work in harmony with other people take direction on each assignment and give full attention to detail. Independence in working tact and diplomacy are required. Sound judgment and effort to exemplify the Savior are also expected.
Must be currently enrolled in an educational institution or no more than 1 year removed from graduation
Strong attention to detail
Solid written and verbal communication
Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite specifically Excel
Prior HR experience preferred
