Job Summary:
Student Assistants play a vital role in supporting the daytoday operations of the Parking and Transportation Services Office. As the first point of contact you are responsible for greeting visitors answering questions and providing accurate information related to parking policies permits citations and campus transportation services. You will communicate with students faculty staff and guests both in person and through various platforms including phone and email ensuring a positive and professional customer service experience.
In this role Student Assistants will issue parking permits through the T2 Flex system maintain accurate records of all transactions and assist in organizing files and documentation. They will support office operations by completing administrative tasks such as filing data entry photocopying preparing memos and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The role also involves handling daily mail distribution and managing both incoming and outgoing correspondence. Student Assistants will be responsible for delivering documents and supplies across campus while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
Additionally Student Assistants will assist with scheduling appointments supporting campus events. They are expected to work collaboratively with other student staff and fulltime team members contribute ideas for improving service delivery and demonstrate professionalism flexibility and initiative in handling daily tasks. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain handson experience in administrative support customer service and office coordination within a fastpaced campus environment. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support the mission and goals of the department.

Compensation and Benefits:
Student Employment Anticipated Hiring Range: $16.50 per hour.
The compensation offered will consider internal equity and experience among other factors.

Summer available hours: Monday through Thursday (7:00 am 5:30 pm).

Conditions of Employment
Background Check
Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) may be required for student employment purposes. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check when required may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.

Possession of a valid Drivers License may be required. Employees in this position will be enrolled in the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Government Employer Pull Notice Program which confirms possession of a valid drivers license and reflects driving record.
