This is a fantastic opportunity to become a Member of our CGIEdmonton team providing leading information technology services to our clients.
As a .NET Developer youll have a combination of maintenance and development experience and be working with a diverse portfolio of technologies while contributing to several projects. As part of a larger team you will work with and learn from our experienced and hardworking developers and architects and have numerous opportunities to leverage your expertise to become a key part of large client engagements.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Designing estimating coding and testing complex programs within an Enterprise Solution;
Preparing detailed specifications for programs;
Solving problems;
Interacting with clients from all levels;
Participating in multiple assignments at the same time;
Develops and/or contributes to user manuals training materials etc.;
Updating required documentation;
Leveraging AI to introduce efficiencies and improvement the overall customer experience;
Experience with various ticketing or work flow tools like ServiceNow JIRA TFS etc.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Successfully graduated from a 2 year diploma program or equivalent in Computer Science/Information Technology;
Experience in analysis design and maintenance or development of application systems using the technologies described; Visual Studio 2017 and Visual Studio Data Tools; C#.NET 4.5 SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS); Entity Framework; SQL (MSSQL & Transact SQL) 2005/2008R2 2012R2 SQL Server Management Studio; Programming languages such as C# PowerShell Javascript and/or Python; Microsoft Enterprise Library; IIS (8.5 10); GitHub;
Experience with enterprise relational databases;
Deep experience of .NET and corresponding implementations using common software design patterns;
Unit Testing;
Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration techniques;
AI experience with various tools including ChatGPT GitHub Copilot Claude Gemini etc;
Good interpersonal skills;
Good verbal and written communication skills;
The ability to work under pressure with multiple priorities;
The ability to work in a team environment;
The ability to perform successfully under limited supervision;
Strong problem solving and decisionmaking skills;
Overall Information Technology industry experience.

Desirable Qualifications:

Oracle RDBMS and tools 12c/g;
Web Service experience such as SOAPXML RESTJSON;
ArcGIS Enterprise ArcGIS Pro;
Cold Fusion (2021);
Oracle Exadata;
MS Power BI
OWASP Security Testing;
MS Office 2003/2007/2010;
XML;
Government industry experience in a development or analyst role;
ITIL certification.
