Are you seeking an opportunity to make an impact in the lives of young people Camp Manyung are seeking a passionate Kitchen Assistant to join their team!
About Camp Manyung
Camp Manyung is a recreation camp located in Mt Eliza on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula and managed by YMCA Camps. Catering to schools and groups yearround the team at Camp Manyung run a variety of programs and activities to suit every group from snorkeling and kayaking to archery and raft building. Featuring a stateoftheart recreation centre flexible and accessible accommodation and picturesque outdoor areas Camp Manyung is the perfect place to explore the great outdoors.
About the Role
The role involves working in a small kitchen team to provide healthy and delicious meals to diverse groups of people of all ages and abilities attending camp.
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing and providing food for campers including the coordination of special diets
- Assembling and preparing ingredients as required
- Applying best practice as outlined in the camps food safety program
- Upholding the values of the Y at all times
Standard shifts are generally ; 7am 11am 7am 2pm or 4:15 7:15pm Monday Sunday depending on the group requirements.
This is a casual role with an hourly rate of $30.13 Super.
About You
You are a motivated individual with a commitment to perform to their best. You possess problemsolving skills and can apply initiative to work unsupervised if required. Previous catering or hospitality experience and knowledge and understanding of kitchen operations will be highly regarded.
