Payroll Services at James Madison University is accepting applications for a Fiscal Technician. This position will report to the Payroll Operations Manager and serves as the primary point of contact for all incoming calls and visitors.
This position is an inperson position and not available to be fully remote. Teleworking one day a week may be discussed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary objective of this position is to ensure accuracy and data integrity of all JMU wage payments on a semimonthly basis by analyzing entering and reconciling hours using the JMU Time Entry process as well as entering and auditing W4/VA4 forms for all JMU employees. This position also serves as primary point of contact for all incoming calls and visitors relating to JMU Time Entry and other pay questions. The position provides the Director with uptodate budget information for all nonpersonal services and is responsible for maintaining JMUs Effort Reporting tables. Position also acts as a backup for the Direct Deposit Coordinator.
