As a Mortgage Underwriter & Closer you play a critical role in ensuring that mortgage loans are reviewed processed and closed efficiently and in compliance with industry guidelines. Youll evaluate loan applications analyze creditworthiness prepare closing documents and collaborate with key stakeholders to support our members in achieving their homeownership dreams.
Key Responsibilities:-
Review loan files to ensure all necessary documentation is provided; request missing info and assess compliance.

Prepare closing disclosures instructions and loan package documents; initiate fund wiring and loan disbursement.

Communicate effectively with management realtors escrow agents and brokers to meet deadlines.

Verify underwriting details correct inaccuracies determine refunds and finalize decision documents.

Evaluate appraisal reports for accuracy reasonable comparables and potential underwriting considerations.

Submit denied loan files for dual review and ensure PMI selection meets loantovalue requirements.

Document policy exceptions with supporting factors and complete conditional and final approval letters.

Adhere to all company policies and regulatory requirements including Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act.
- 510 years of mortgage underwriting and closing experience
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field
- Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
