Insomniac produces some of the most innovative immersive music festivals and events in the world. Enhanced by stateoftheart lighting pyrotechnics and sound design largescale art installations theatrical performers and next generation special effects our events captivate the senses and inspire a unique level of fan interaction. The quality of the Headliner experience is our top priority.

Insomniac produces 10000 concerts club nights and festivals for seven million attendees annually across the globe. Since its inception Insomniacs events have taken place in 13 countries across five continents. The companys premiere annual event Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas is the worlds largest dance music festival and attracts more than 525000 fans over three days. The company was founded by Pasquale Rotella and has been based in Los Angeles since it was formed in 1993.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled digital designer to lead the redesign of our festival properties template and the Insomniac App. This role will focus on visually stunning interactive and usercentered design while working closely with internal stakeholders across Product Engineering and Marketing.

We are reimagining Insomniacs digital ecosystem to better reflect the immersive highenergy experiences of our events. Youll play a key role in crafting visually stunning and intuitive digital experiences that bring this vision to life.

This 6month contract position requires strong visual design sensibility fluency in UI/UX best practices and the ability to create highfidelity interactive prototypes. Experience in motion design or animation for microinteractions transitions and immersive storytelling elements is strongly preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and drive the endtoend visual and interactive design process across web and mobile platforms
  • Develop scalable UI systems and design patterns ensuring consistency and usability across Insomniacs digital ecosystem
  • Create highfidelity prototypes and interactive elements that enhance user engagement
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering and Marketing to align design strategy with business and user needs
  • Work within responsive and adaptive design frameworks to create seamless experiences across all devices
  • Ensure all designs align with brand identity accessibility best practices and modern UX principles
  • Leverage animation and motion design to create interactive and immersive user experiences
  • Design fluid microinteractions and gesturebased navigation (swipes taps long presses) to enhance usability and engagement in the Insomniac App
  • Optimize inapp purchasing and ticketing flows ensuring a seamless checkout experience

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years of experience in UI/UX visual design and interactive design for web and mobile applications
  • Agency experience preferred with a proven track record of delivering highquality digital designs on tight timelines
  • Expertise in Figma Adobe Creative Suite and prototyping tools (Framer ProtoPie After Effects etc.)
  • Strong portfolio showcasing visually compelling interactive experiences UI systems and motion/animation work
  • Experience designing for entertainment music or experiential brands is a plus
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within crossfunctional teams

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
  • Must be able to adapt to various temperature & climates
  • Must be willing to work during evening and weekend hours as required to meet deadlines

Pay Rate Range: $100.00/hr $150.00/hr USD
