Aviva is looking for a dynamic Principal Data Scientist to help drive innovation and impact within our Retail team.

A bit about the job:
As a data science leader within the Personal Lines business youll work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders to understand key challenges and lead the development of innovative data science solutions that drive better outcomes for both the business and our customers. Youll develop a deep understanding of the business strategy and objectives and lead a team focused on delivering impactful solutions. Youll also have the freedom to explore creative and forwardthinking approaches to unlocking value from data.
Were particularly interested in candidates with experience in Pricing & Underwriting Analytics within personal lines insurance.
Skills and experience were looking for:
Proven ability to solve complex nonroutine problems using expertise in areas such as Statistics Machine Learning Deep Learning or AI.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills able to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences.
Strategic thinker with strong commercial awareness.
Experience delivering projects in collaboration with crossfunctional teams or external partners.
Highly numerate with a degree or postgraduate qualification (e.g. MSc) in a relevant field such as Mathematics Statistics or Computer Science (preferred but not essential).
