Whats the role
Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) manages the financial needs of corporate institutional and government clients that are based or have interests in Australia and New Zealand.
Within WIBs Energy Infrastructure & Resources (EI&R) industry team we aspire to provide high quality origination and delivery of customer and strategic insights for a diverse group of clients.
Reporting to the Head of Energy youll be highly motivated to work on new to bank acquisitions and service an existing complex and dynamic portfolio of customers while also achieving yearonyear and return on equity growth.
The role also presents an opportunity to work as part of the broader team to lead WIBs Renewable / Energy Strategy and includes managing WIBs origination portfolio management and sponsor relationship activities.
What do I need
- A proven understanding of the Energy & Infrastructure sectors in Australia coupled with knowledge of Sustainability and Climate change related issues impacting the Energy sector.
- Sound understanding of project and corporate credit including cash flow modelling and effective critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Proven success of working cross collaboratively within a global team environment coordinating with other industry sector coverage teams Analysts Risk key product partners and stakeholders such as Legal together with other banks in a club project or bilateral setting.
- A passion for driving client advocacy and growth in the teams loan book via high quality debt product origination and NPS growth.
- Strong business acumen with a commercial mindset with driving value and efficiency gains through simplification opportunities.
