Position Overview
Join us in our fastpaced support to the Space Development Agency (SDA). Recognized as the Department of Defenses constructive disruptor for space acquisition SDA delivers spacebased capabilities to the joint warfighter to support terrestrial missions through development fielding and operation of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture. SDA capitalizes on a unique business model that values speed and lowers costs by harnessing commercial development to achieve a proliferated architecture and enhance resilience. We are seeking a Budget/Financial Analyst to support SDAs mission. Responsibilities include:
Responsibilities
- Support activities involving the Governments Planning Programming Budget and Execution (PPBE).
- Perform toplevel PPBE analysis and support the development of RDT&E budget justification exhibits.
- Communicate program and technical requirements into acquisition planning public release documents and correspondence in clear concise and compelling terms.
- Develop and execute funding transfers (e.g. MIPRs) and conduct analysis using USSF financial systems.
- Develop documentation for and assist with the execution of budget documents.
- Develop annual spend plans and update monthly based on milestone payment projections.
- Understand continuing resolution anomalies as it pertains to availability of funds.
- Proactively manage the spend plan to ensure contracts are funded adequately.
- Create and coordinate budget and acquisition documents; organize meetings.
- Understand DoD policies and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum BS/BA and 5 years relevant experience.
- Experience in a highpaced DoD environment.
- TS/SCI Eligibility required; #qinetiqclearedjob
- Selfstarter in problem solving and working with technical POCs to ensure budget requirements are sufficiently covered and risks are identified and tracked.
- Demonstrated creativity foresight professionalism and mature judgment in anticipating and solving financial business administrative or program management problems.
- Demonstrated experience in developing organizing forecasting and maintaining financial budgets and tracking financial milestones.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel Powerpoint and Word.
