Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in related field
Valid Texas certificate appropriate for educating preschool children with disabilities.
Minimum 3 years experience asearly childhood teacher
Ability to work with school and community population
Primary Purpose:
Provide consultation to and training forearly childhood teachers and to parents of students with disabilities. Be able to provide demonstration teaching and assist teachers in acquiring the skills necessary for a successful classroom. Monitor and assist with integrating students with disabilities with their nondisabled peers. Provide direct teacher consultation for students with disabilities who are in crisis situations and/or whose educational progress has not been consistent with IEP goals.

Personal computer copier printer and fax machine.
Working Conditions:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing stooping bending kneeling pushing and pulling. Move small stacks of textbooks media equipment desks and other classroom or adaptive equipment. May be required to lift and position students with physical disabilities; control behavior through physical restraint; and assist nonambulatory students. Exposed to biological hazards. Must have valid Texas drivers license.
