Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Frontend Developer to join our team! Were looking for someone who is passionate about building intuitive applications that meet the needs of our questions failing fast and writing maintainable code are at the center of what we do while building applications for the Big Data Platform (BDP). Due to federal contract requirements United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).
Capabilities
- Assist with the creation enhancement and maintenance of web applications
- JavaScript / CSS / HTML coding and code review
- Work closely with designers backend engineers and data scientists to build holistic user experiences
- Help define and interact with REST based APIs
- Troubleshoot customer reported issues in applications and providing support
- Write unit tests and conduct quality assurance testing
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly
- Security Clearance Ability to obtain a Secret level U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. Citizenship required. Will also consider a candidate with a current security clearance.
- At least 9years of experience with front end software development/engineering with a B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field; 7years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13years relevant experience.
- 9 years of experience with JavaScript and one or more web application frameworks (ie: Vue / React / Angular / Backbone) or similar demonstrated competency
- Must be able to work in a hybrid environment spending an average of 12days per week at our Columbia MD office. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes as needed.
Required Technical Skills
- Familiarity with Git or other version control software.
- Comfortable working on a *nix command line.
- Selfmotivation; Ability to multitask and prioritize open issues / tickets accordingly.
- Problem solving skills and ability to review information and compile data appropriately as needed.
Desired Technical Skills
- Previous experience with BDP is a plus.
- DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications may be required in this position as directed by the customer

Compensation will vary dependent upon factors including but not limited to: Government contract rates; education; relevant prior work experience knowledge skills and competencies; certifications and geographic location. *Hourly pay rates reflect the prebenefit gross wage amounts.
