The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering College of Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for two fulltime Academic Professional Track (NonTenure) positions. Depending on qualifications and experience applicants will be considered for the titles of lecturer senior lecturer instructional assitant professor instructional associate professor instructional professor associate professor of practice and professor of practice with a 9month academic appointment beginning as early as June 1 2025. The successful applicant will teach primarily at the undergraduate level in support of the development of the undergraduate program; advise and mentor undergraduate students; participate in all aspects of the departments activities; and serve the profession. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
As a major department with an enrollment of about 1600 undergraduate 300 Ph.D. and 450 masters students pursuing degrees in electrical and computer engineering our mission is fourfold to create new knowledge and challenge young minds by participation in the process of discovery and invention to educate electrical and computer engineers with a solid background of fundamentals to prepare graduates for an exciting future and to serve the society through research education and outreach activities. Applicants should consult the departments website to review our academic and research programs ( appointments at Associate Professor of Practice or Professor of Practicelevel applicants must have at the minimum a masters level degree appropriate for the field in which the faculty member will teach and significant teaching experience at the college/school level in the field or in a related field or have an extraordinary record of accomplishment in an applied setting. There may be additional requirements depending on the specific faculty title.
For appointments atLecturer Senior Lecturer Instructional Assistant Professor Instructional Associate Professor or Instructional Professor level applicants must have a doctoral degree in a closely related engineering or science discipline or a masters level degree appropriate for the field in which the faculty member will teach and significant teaching experience at the college/school level in the field or in a related field or have an extraordinary record of accomplishment in an applied setting.
