As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within US Wealth Management youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted marketleading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities:
- Develop AI models and algorithms to address complex business challenges.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems and applications.
- Conduct research to stay abreast of advancements in AI machine learning and related technologies.
- Deploy manage and optimize AI models on AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Engineer the control plane for provisioning automation scaling integrations and selfservice making it accessible to thousands of applications.
- Create intuitive user interfaces for AIdriven products using Java for robust and scalable backend development.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5 years of applied experience.
- Proven experience as an AI Engineer or similar role with a strong portfolio of AI projects.
- Proficiency in React for frontend development and Java or python for backend development.
- Experience with AWS services such as EC2 S3 Lambda. Infrastructureascode experience particularly with Terraform.
- Strong understanding of machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g. TensorFlow PyTorch scikitlearn).
- Familiarity with data processing and analysis tools (e.g. Pandas NumPy).
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Formal training or certification in Python with advanced proficiency.
- Practical experience in architecting and developing applications on major public cloud providers
- Industry cloud certifications are a bonus.
- Knowledge of industrywide technology strategies and best practices.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills:
- Prior financial or banking experience is a plus.
- Experience SRE Security Observability & Performance as part of all owned applications/deliverables is a plus..
- Certifications and Methodologies: Formal training in Python and experience with Agile methodologies are highlighted along with infrastructureascode experience.
- Full stack application development experience is plus. Preferably REACT
