Job Description

Job Title: Construction Manager
Location: Tucson AZ
Employment Type: FullTime


Position Summary
PVB Fabrications Inc. (PVB) a direct hire multidisciplined industrial construction and metal fabrication company isseeking a skilled and experienced Construction Manager to lead field operations for multiple construction projects in the Tucson area. The ideal candidate will oversee daily jobsite activities ensuring that all projects are executed safely on schedule within budget and to the highest standards of quality. This role requires collaboration with project teams subcontractors vendors and stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes and exceed client expectations.


Project Oversight

  • Manage construction efforts from preconstruction through final turnover.
  • Ensure all work complies with contract requirements codes and safety regulations.
  • Oversee contract execution and compliance by all involved parties.

Field Management

  • Supervise onsite activities and monitor subcontractor performance.
  • Maintain detailed daily site logs and proactively resolve field issues.
  • Ensure progress safety and quality through ongoing site presence.

Scheduling & Budgeting

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in coordination with project teams.
  • Track project costs manage change orders and maintain budget forecasts.

Quality Assurance

  • Enforce quality control standards to meet both company and industry requirements.

Safety Leadership

  • Promote a safetyfirst culture and ensure compliance with MSHA/OSHA standards.
  • Lead jobsite safety meetings conduct inspections and investigate incidents as needed.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients consultants inspectors and internal teams.
  • Provide regular updates on project status and work collaboratively to resolve issues.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain complete and accurate project documentation including RFIs submittals daily reports and change orders.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of construction experience including 3 years in a superintendent or leadership role.
  • CCM or PMP certification preferred.
  • Background in industrial mining or largescale infrastructure construction.
  • Strong reading and interpretation skills of engineering and architectural drawings.
  • Proven leadership problemsolving and organizational abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to pass preemployment substance abuse screening.
  • Flexible schedule with availability for weekends holidays and night work as needed.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to foster a positive jobsite environment.
  • MSHA and OSHA 30 certifications (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid drivers license and insurable driving record.
  • Reliable transportation to local job sites.
