The mechanical operations and maintenance of the High Containment Core (BSL3/BSL4) laboratories is essential to the universitys research involving biological materials and compliance with the Federal Select Agent Program.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
The position is specialized for biocontainment facilities. The responsibilities of the position are wide in scope and require specialized expertise in the industrial systems (i.e. electrical plumbing HVAC) and equipment unique to these facilities. The level of judgment and decision making requires a knowledge of high containment support infrastructure. The position implements preventive responsive and monitoring maintenance to support facility components and equipment that are critical for the operation of high and maximum containment facilities. The position operates in facilities under the regulatory requirements for the Federal Select Agent Program.
