About the job
Reporting to the Shopkeeper this Associate roles main responsibility is to ensure an enjoyable convenient and successful shopping and buying experience that leads to increased sales and sustained longterm profitability. He/she also ensures satisfied customers develop and execute sales steering and selling the IKEA way.
Your assignment
- You identify the customers needs by asking the right questions and advise them on the best solutions for their homes in order to exceed their expectations
- You ensure the shop is in excellent shape as new and fully and efficiently stocked with the four merchandising basics in place at all times and that the IKEA product range is presented in ways that inspire and satisfy customers
- You keep your area of responsibility clean tidy priced and fully stocked and ensure that the IKEA basic merchandising standards are in place at all times to give customers a positive shopping experience
- You assist customers to plan their kitchen wardrobe living room storage etc. based on their floorplans site measurements and specific needs using relevant IKEA tools
- You know and understand the customers life at home needs home furnishing trends and use this knowledge to provide the best solutions for customers
- You maximise furniture and accessories sales by offering complete and coordinated solutions
- You provide sales quotations and complete sales orders for customers
- You convey passion about IKEA products and actively learn about their features and benefits and you share this knowledge with customers and colleagues
- You understand how to use the different IKEA sales and communication channels and knowhow for the different customers you meet
Qualifications :
Your profile
- You are passionate in home furnishing peoples life at home and the IKEA product range
- Critical thinking good communication and organizational skills is preferrable
- You have experience in a fastpaced retail environment experience in home furnishing is a plus
- You have a passion for selling reaching your goals and you enjoy working in a fastpaced and futureoriented environment
- You understand the local market and competition; the store operations range presentation and instore logistics the IKEA way
- You are capable of quickly developing indepth knowledge of the local market and business conditions
