Job Description

Our huge warehouse estate in Yorkshire is held together by the Warehouse team the warehouses have an enormous amount of tech that allow us to receive store pick and pack items for our customers handling everything from socks to sofas! The Warehouse team focuses heavily on automation which includes 40 miles of conveyor linking everything together across our sites hundreds of storage and picking robots a very fast moving continuously changing part of NEXT Technology.
The role
Technology drives what we do. Plain and simple. As were going through a huge change as a business we need a solid team with us who are committed to driving our systems forward.
As a Senior Developer youll be an important part of this. Your focus will be on creating and enhancing new and existing systems and applications. And youll do it through different technologies and programming languages so were looking for experience in:
- C# .NET
- Working with Microsoft Azure services
- Eventbased messaging
- Kubernetes and Helm
- Terraform or Blazor experience would be advantageous
In addition were looking for you to be:
- Able to speak read and write English at a level that enables you to complete your role for example to understand instructions and communicate effectively with stakeholders and/or other team members
- Experienced in effectively working in a collaborative manner in a large scale fast paced environment within a multifunctional technical team
As a senior member of the team youll be helping to develop and support the systems to ensure they transform and stay robust so thousands of items of product can be picked packed and dispatched daily. Youll get your hands dirty in various projects as well as providing support to internal users and outofhours cover on occasion.
Youll be doing all this from our Warehouse & Distribution site in South Elmsall.
