This post is within the Technical Education and Training (TET) departments Qualifications Course and Learning Development team and you will take a leading role to develop and design structured learning content and digitally accessed courses. You will also support the wider teams remit to develop formal learning offers and accredited qualifications on a wide range of technical topics relating to Scotlands traditional and built heritage.

Key Responsibilities of this role
- Lead on the development of learning content and resources both for formal and informal learning offers and for accredited qualifications and courses across various SCQF levels.
- Design learning to ensure highquality learning experiences that meet the learners needs course and qualification learning outcomes and the performance criteria and knowledge requirements for TET course and qualification development projects.
- Investigating learner needs and mapping learner journeys to ensure developed learning and course content is accessible and wellplanned.
- Work with internal and external subject matter experts ensuring that commissioned and procured learning content is highquality and suitable for the intended audience.
- Assisting the design creation and ongoing maintenance of accredited and nonaccredited eLearning courses using Articulate 360 and Moodle as well as other platforms. This includes helping design the course layout navigation structure and contentpaying attention to all accessibility requirements.
- Source and manage images and other media for the teams projects to enhance the learner experience and meet learning outcomes.
- Work with historic environment sector colleagues to develop networks promote HES resources and support joint projects.
- Engage in and undertake continuous professional development to further knowledge and understanding of Scotlands historic environment and its conservation.
- Perform other duties and collaborate on projects as assigned by line managers.

Essential:
- Experience of working in the historic environment sector and/or its skills & training needs.
- Knowledge of technical conservation skills at craft technical and professional levels; the relevant educational processes practices and frameworks that apply to them; as well as an awareness of key emerging relevant innovation concepts and topics.
- Knowledge and understanding of learning theory methods and best practice effective learning design principles learner journey mapping and course delivery models.
- Awareness of best practice in qualification development and awarding body quality assurance adherence within the educational and skills training sector.
- Knowledge of formal and informal educational learning activity across the SCQF Framework and other educational frameworks associated with the built environment and experience of developing and delivering a range of learning products.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- IT skills including email management word processing (writing high quality reports) good knowledge of Excel and a and capacity to learn new apps and software packages.
- Ability to form effective and longlasting operational relationships with credibility and expertise both with individuals and with organisations.
- Knowledge of accessibility legislation and issues and the ability to implement equitable solutions to learner needs.
- Ability to supervise staff and enable effective teamwork to deliver project outcomes.
- Proven strong project management skills and experience of contributing to project development and delivery within a team.
- Awareness of relevant Health & Safety regulations and other relevant legislation for Safeguarding and Accessibility.
