Job Description Summary

Grid Systems Integration (GSI) is a rapidly expanding business line within GE Vernova with focus on substation integration projects including highvoltage direct current (HVDC) transmission systems. Offshore HVDC represents a key differentiating technology and a central focus for the business particularly in Europe where Transmission System Operators have very ambitious renewable energy targets.

In this context GSI is looking for a HVDC ITO Document Controller (m/f/d) who will oversee the documentation management of large complex multiyear EPC project tenders. If you want to be part of a major adventure at the heart of the energy transition in Europe we want to hear from you!

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure documentation workflows between the involved parties as needed by using the dedicated Document Management Systems (Windchill Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) System) or the related Documentation Management System required by customers in the tender phase (Customer requirement data base and further documents)
  • Support Tender Employer Requirements allocation to functions stakeholder ensuring their ownership ER compliance signoff and/or deviation by relevant function
  • Setup and maintain standardize Project Tender ITO Box
  • Mapping of Tender Returnable with function owner allocation and followup of offer readiness
  • Support the engineering team for specific tasks such as Data Base and/or Master Document List (MDL) updates progress reports dedicated checks of issues
  • Involvement in the deviations lists sent to customer during the tender phase as well as internally with the involved stakeholders
  • Knowledge of how the work of the document control team integrates with other project teams and contributes to the success of the tender
  • Work according the overall and project related document quality checklists compliant to company and project quality procedures & accurate quality records
  • Review and negotiation with customer of Document Control Employer Requirement
  • Define the document control execution strategy (including DMS MDR workload) in agreement with OTR team and consortium partner
  • Lead transfer from ITO to OTR of a clean and sanitized contractual dossier
  • Return on experience related to documentation management are being implemented during the tender phase


Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Fluency in German & English language mandatory
  • Experience in documentation handling and related software systems
  • Experience in documentation management on large projects (volume of thousands of documents)
  • General knowledge of engineering technical terms and understanding of engineering processes
  • Proficiency in the following software:Microsoft Office package (Word Excel CAD/AUTOCAD (basic level) Adobe Acrobat Professional or similar Awareness of Visual Basic MACRO creation / modification
  • Ability to deliver highquality by keeping an eye on details
  • Very good time management and communication skills
  • Ability to grasp complex processes and structures
  • Execution DMS experience will be a plus
  • Employer Tender Procurement DMS experience will be a plus
