Staff Embedded Software Developer

We are currently seeking a dynamic Staff Embedded Software Developer to contribute to the success of our rapidly growing business.

As a Staff Embedded Software Developeryou will involve in the full development lifecycle of a flagship product that has a real impact in detecting 0day security threats. You will use your skills to design develop maintain and improve new and existing firmware components that are the backbone of the product.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Development design and test the software for Fortinet products
• Hands on in bug fixing
• Maintain and document code using source control system
• Maintenance performance tuning and support of implemented software or firmware products
• Implement new features according to identified specs

We are looking for:

• 4 years of software development in a Unix/Linux environment
• Excellent C programming
• Experience with network programming and multithreading programming
• Experience with scripting language like shell Python or Perl a plus
• Experience using source control software (SVN Git)
• Experience with AWS and Azure a plus
• Educational Requirements Bachelors degree in Computer Science related field or equivalent experience.

The Canada base salary range for this fulltime position is expected to be between $133000 $163000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market job type and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidates subject knowledge skill level qualifications and experience.
