Reports To: Director of Adult Services

FLSA Status: Exempt

Classification: FullTime

Work Hours: 8am4:00pm MondayFriday; as needed


The Adult Day Services Manager is responsible for the dayto dayoperational and administrative tasks and providing structure for the delivery of scheduled services. With the support of the Director of Adult Services the ADS Manager will ensure adherence to program services applicable regulations standards and philosophy of care. The ADS Manager will assist in providing direction training and support to the direct care level staff. This includes ensuring the operational integrity of day habilitation and employment services and documentation of services. The ADS Manager works in cooperation with the Director of Adult Services to provide evidencebased ethical services reflective of Sherwoods mission and values to ensure quality services are provided in a timely and consistent manner to all program participants.


Essential Functions of Position

  • Assists the Director in oversight and execution of program level client processes (i.e. enrollment case management attendance discharge) environmental and materials management and daily service notes requirements.
  • Provides effective and timely staff communication and training on program practices and procedures specific to the case management of the clients as well as daily operational practices.
  • Coordinate and oversee scheduling for daily/weekly/monthly client based services including coordination with outside agencies compliance components and regulatory processes.
  • Coordinate track and verify that program related data and documentation is completed accurate compliant and submitted appropriately according to agency policy and procedures and applicable laws rules and regulations of all regulatory/governing bodies.
  • Foster and promote a cooperative working climate maximizing productivity and employee morale.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in psychology social work business administration or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in a comparable role within the field is acceptable in place of a Bachelors degree.

Required Experience:

  • 3 years of successful employment working in management position in a psychology behavioral health social work case management setting or a closely related field
  • 2 years supervisory experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel Outlook and Word)
  • A working knowledge of CIMOR Therap or similar electronic records systems
  • Must currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain training and certification in all required areas such as Abuse/Neglect CPR First Aid Level 1 Medication Administration and Bloodborne Pathogens
  • Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Class E drivers license within 30 days of employment must carry minimum coverage applicable by law for auto insurance
  • Must have completed or be able to complete all requirements for day habilitation and supported employment services (i.e. PBS SE coursework)
  • At least 21 years of age with valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record
  • An important requirement for all our direct care staff: we require a successful completion of our physical fitness POET assessment prior to commencement of all applicable positions. If you do not pass we reserve the right to adjust or rescind any offers as needed.

Preferred:

  • Experience working directly with clients with autism spectrum disorder or developmental disabilities
  • Knowledge of best practice approaches to serving adolescents and adults with behavior disorders and intellectual/developmental disabilities
  • Familiar with Department of Mental Health Waiver Codes and Services

Skills:

  • Ability to work independently take initiative follow through and work cooperatively with others
  • Strong communication leadership and organization skills
  • Ability to serve as a role model mentor coach and leader
  • Demonstration of the ability to effectively and efficiently lead a team of staff as well as manage program resources (time staff budget)
  • Excellent interpersonal oral record keeping and written communication skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to exert lift carry push/pull up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to demonstrate good balance object handling object fingering feeling simple hand grasping firm hand grasping and occasional running or jogging.
  • This position requires extended periods of walking and standing with some periods of sitting which is dependent up the needs and activities of the individuals supported. It may require light to heavy lifting and occasional stooping kneeling bending and/or climbing stairs.
