Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The focus of this position is to assist in implementation of intensive behavior management strategies for students with behavioral difficulties in the classroom. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
working one on one or in a small group with students with behavioral needs or emotional dysregulation.
evaluating student needs and providing interventions to redirect behavior.
implementing evidence based behavioral strategies designed to make positive and appropriate changes.
assessing crisis situations and defusing situations using deescalation and crisis management techniques.
reinforcing appropriate behaviors and redirecting negative behavior.
supporting the Social Emotional needs of the students.
training on skills that would allow students to access education in their least restrictive environment.
daily data collection.
Candidates must be:
willing to participate in staff training in all relevant areas.
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess knowledge and experience with positive behavior support practices.
This position earns $18.00 per hour.
Position is paid 26 times a year. So total pay is spread out over the summer months.
This position can be combined with driving a bus for fulltime pay and benefits.
