TITLE: Category Specialist Indirect Procurement
LOCATION: Westchester IL (Hybrid)
REPORTS TO: Sr. Manager Indirect Procurement
As the Specialist Indirect Procurement you will lead daytoday operations and support the entire Source to Pay cycle of Indirect procurement categories including Travel Fleet Marketing Professional Services HR Real Estate and Temp Labor (Spend Analysis RFPs Negotiation Contracting and Supplier Relationship management).
As Specialist Indirect Procurement your general responsibilities will include:
- Support sourcing requirements for spend and market analysis risk mitigation and value delivery in the above indirect procurement categories
- Support evaluation selection negotiation and implementation of preferred partners in indirect procurement categories
- Support contracting work within Indirect categories
- Identify and track working capital improvements
- Assist in indirect PO process
- Work closely with our COE team
- Lead supplier diversity external reporting process and contribute to supplier diversity program
- Continuously analyze data and apply benchmarks in renegotiating contracts when needed to improve service and/or reduce costs
- Solicit input from global and regional site sourcing/procurement and regional operations to develop understanding of regional differences
- Assist indirect manager with administration of SAP Concur Travel
- Establish self as the key point of contact for US/CA daytoday Fleet operations
- Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Serve as main point of contact for all indirect category reporting and data collection requirements
- Support the overall CorporateNorth America Procurement strategy and aligning with established global category strategy and sourcing initiatives
The Indirect Specialist position is wellsuited for you if you:
- Assess the complete market for relevant goods and services including trends forecasts risks geopolitical effects and supplier profiling
- Boldly assess the indirect spend portfolio and constantly seek opportunities for cost/demand reduction innovation/substitution options and applications of new technology
- Successfully collaborate with multiple internal partners including Finance Human Resources Marketing Sales Logistics Manufacturing Operations Legal IT and R&D
- A recognized selfstarter with an ability to operate with limited supervision
- Mobilizes to rapidly adapt to changing circumstances without losing momentum
- Deep focus on the internal customer experience
- Have strong persuasion influencing and emotional intelligence capabilities
- Are knowledgeable in the strategic sourcing process data and market analysis RFP management negotiations contracting and supplier lifecycle management
- Have excellent analytical and financial acumen including cost modeling and budgeting/forecasting and are proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Have experience with esourcing tools including spend analytics and project and contract management
- Have assisted in the drafting and negotiating of contracts
- Have strong global professional and crosscultural skills
- Have strong oral and written communication skills are highly organized and have excellent problem solving/decision making abilities
- Highly organized possessing excellent decisionmaking skills in unsure environments
- Strong project management skills with emphasis on business processes
- Dedicated with an entrepreneurial mindset and a demonstrated ability to drive and sell change
- Comfortable with ambiguity
Qualified candidates will have:
- A bachelors degree in business supply chain management or other related discipline and previous procurement/purchasing experience preferably in Indirect categories
- Excellent skills within the Microsoft Office suite and Concur Travel platforms a plus
- Knowledge and understanding of purchasing practices policies and procedures
- Experience in successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously with results consistent with managements expectations
- Strong communication skills both oral and written and the ability to communicate with all levels of a corporation
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Demonstrated history of successfully collaborating with multiple internal stakeholders
- Strong oral and written communications skills be highly organized and have excellent problem solving/decision making skills

$81680.00$108906.67 AnnualThis pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
Incentive Compensation:
As a part of the total compensation package this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a rolespecific commission/bonus.
