UnityPoint Clinic is a physicianled nonprofit health care organization offering comprehensive services in primary care walkin care and specialty care. The clinical teams at the areas clinics are improving outcomes lowering the number of hospital readmissions and reducing avoidable costs associated with treating chronic conditions. The UnityPoint Clinic team is known for excellence and quality patient care putting patients at the center of their care to provide the best level of health and wellbeing.
- Be part of a busy multidisciplinary team providing high quality care
- Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building a practice
- Provide outpatient medicine for all ages
- Experienced staff both clinical and nonclinical who know the patients and the community
- Large established referral network
- Full time position: 36 patient contact hours 4 admin hours
- Exceptional worklife balance with day off per week
- Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination
Responsibilities
- Average 1822 patients per day
- 24 exam rooms per provider depending on days
- Monday Friday and no weekends
- General family medicine procedures
- Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
- Shared clinic call amongst the providers. Call is light and first triaged through MyNurse line
- Evaluates interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
- Patientfocused friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) analytical and problemsolving skills
Qualifications
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Board Certified
- 12 years of experience preferred
- Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of IA
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
- Eligible to work in the United States
