We are seeking a dedicated and detailoriented Ophthalmic Technician I to join our team at Emplify Health. The ideal candidate will assist optometrists in providing highquality patient care performing various diagnostic tests and ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic.

No vision or eye experience needed. All training for this role will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in patient examinations and procedures.
  • Perform preliminary tests including visual acuity tonometry and other diagnostic assessments.
  • Maintain and prepare examination rooms and equipment.
  • Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
  • Educate patients on eye care and postoperative instructions.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.


What you will do:

  • Work 40 hours each week. Monday Friday
  • Hours are between 7:30a5:00p
  • Location : La Crosse WI
  • Opportunity to travel to assist at all Gundersen optical locations
  • Provide a quality optical experience to our patients and guests

What you will need:

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • 2 years of patient/customer service experience
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certified by JCAHPO within 18 months of hire
