Job Overview
We are seeking a Junior Transport Supervisor to join our team in Belagavi on a fulltime basis. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of work experience manage transportation logistics and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires the ability to coordinate effectively and oversee the daytoday school transport operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Graduate degree required with strong foundational knowledge for effective role execution.
- Fleet Management (Mandatory skill): Ability to manage and organize fleet operations efficiently to streamline transportation.
- Time Management (Mandatory skill): Proficient in managing and optimizing schedules and timetables to ensure timely transport service.
- Regulatory Compliance (Mandatory skill): Strong understanding and adherence to transport and safety regulations and standards.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with drivers staff and parents ensuring clarity and promptness.
- Problemsolving skills to address and resolve operational or logistical issues promptly.
- Attention to detail to maintain accurate records of transport operations ensuring organized and efficient data management.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure ensuring transport operations run smoothly in various scenarios.
- Customer service orientation to handle queries and concerns from parents and staff respectfully and effectively.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Schedule and oversee the transport operations ensuring timely pickup and dropoff of students at various locations.
- Coordinate and manage the schools fleet of vehicles ensuring all are serviced and maintained regularly.
- Ensure compliance with all local state and federal transportation laws and policies.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with school staff drivers and parents for any transportrelated information.
- Monitor and evaluate transportation activities to ensure safety and efficiency in services provided.
- Handle emergency situations appropriately coordinating with necessary authorities if needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to ensure all are safe operational and ready for service.
- Streamline transport processes suggesting improvements and innovative ideas to enhance service quality.
