Trainee Quantity Surveyor

Salary up 27077.51 to per annum
42.5 hours per week Monday Friday
About the Role:
As a trainee Quantity Surveyor (QS) assists experienced QSs in managing project costs throughout the construction process. They calculate quantities costs and timelines for materials labor and equipment during the preconstruction phase. During construction they help manage project budgets contracts and payments. Finally they ensure all financial aspects are accurately documented and settled in the final accounts. This role is vital for maintaining the financial health of construction projects. The typical duration for this apprenticeship is three to four years but this will depend on the previous experience of the apprentice and access to opportunities to gain the full range of competence.
A BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying or equivalent Quantity Surveying Level 6 Diploma that is approved by the industrys recognised professional bodies and meets the educational requirements for the professional bodies full membership or chartered status.
Key Criteria:
All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
To drive a Mears vehicle you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
Candidates should be aware that all our roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks before commencement of employment.
