Murdoch Library is dedicated to providing essential information resources and both facetoface and digital services to the academic community supporting learning teaching and research. We are committed to delivering friendly engaging and professional service offering focused collections training and assistance in locating and utilising information resources. Our goal is to create an environment that caters to diverse needs.
The Research & Digital Services team specialises in developing and delivering comprehensive library research support services. This includes providing researcher training and managing the Research Portal. Additionally our team oversees the librarys systems and platforms coordinates communication and develops content and interactive resources for the library website and other platforms
Your New Role!
This role will provide and contribute to the development of library research support services particularly related to scholarly communication.
Service areas include institutional repository researcher profiles scholarly publishing (including open access) bibliometrics and impact advanced literature searching (including systematic reviews) and research data management.
The role involves addressing queries and offering guidance across all services as part of a collaborative team with opportunity to develop service offerings for particular areas such as the Research Portal and Profiles scholarly publishing and bibliometrics.
This position works closely with other Library staff and teams particularly those in Learning & Teaching and Digital Experience. Additionally the role involves partnering with colleagues supporting research across the University including the Graduate Research Office and Research & Innovation.

This Continuous Part time (30 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $77K $94K (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

Selection Criteria:
Completion of a degree; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Eligibility for associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association.
Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of researcher needs in relation to library research support
Knowledge of and interest in scholarly communication developments as related to library services and initiatives
Proven experience and knowledge in providing library research support services and creating support materials across various media.
