Granby Public Schools is seeking a dynamic knowledgeable and dedicated BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) to join our team for the upcomingschool year. In addition to working with students this individual will support colleagues in the area of behavior support and modification.
Primary Job Duties:
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments as well as informal evaluation measures for the purpose of informing and designing specialized instruction as well as to help determine eligibility for the receipt of special education and related services.
- Design individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) tailored to meet the individual needs of students through the incorporation of datadriven scientifically researchbased methodology
- Participate in PPT meetings to guide and support the development of Individualized Education Programs for students with disabilities.
- Effectively communicate with parents/guardians colleagues and all other stakeholders regarding behavior and behavior modification.
- Implement or support colleagues in the initiation of strategies to modify or replace maladaptive behaviors.
- Engage in professional learning opportunities to expand the depth and breadth of student learning outcomes through participating in seminars and workshops.
- Provide professional learning opportunities to staff.
- Organize and maintain a system for accurate and complete recordkeeping related to each students BIP and IEP goals and objectives.
- Collect and analyze student data and support staff in data collection methods.
- Coach and support colleagues in the implementation of BIPs as well as behavior modification and management across academic environments.
Applicable certificationmust be active.
