Unity is looking for a Staff Software Engineer who will join a team focusing on building the next generation of Unitys monetization suite. As the toptier development platform for online and mobile games Unity is helping take developers creations further and faster than ever before. Unity Monetization enables developers to build a business through advertising inapp purchases and analytics. Our fastgrowing business requires you to care about system scalability performance and processing big volumes of data. In addition the systems functional requirements also drive us towards the use of rule engines and machine learning.

What youll be doing

• Design and together with engineering teams implement infrastructure layer to support high scale and high availability needs for data and machine learning. Interface with product managers stakeholders and other engineering teams to perform requirements gathering and anticipate Salesspecific edge cases in the existing codebases and new solutions. Perform code development and production deployment to create applications that meet business needs and scale accordingly. Own and operate the services together with the engineering teams through oncall experience and handson debugging of complex infrastructure issues identifying root cause and solving for continuous improvement. Perform peer code review. Participate in oncall rotations. Guide and oversee the architecture and lowlevel application development to ensure a unified well operable and reliable platform.

What were looking for

• Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Systems or a related field and seven (7) year of related work experience in software development. In the alternative the employer will accept nine (9) years of related work experience in software development.
• Must have seven (7) years of experience with/in the following:
• Performing design and development using at least two (2) of the following programming languages: Go Java Python and/or C; and
• Computer Networking including protocols.
• Must have five (5) years of experience with/in the following:
• Utilizing cloud native infrastructure and Kubernetes to deploy application code into production environments;
• Managing cloud infrastructure with a major public cloud such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure;
• Administering and maintaining data streaming infrastructure with Kafka; and
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in at least two (2) of the following tools: ArgoCD Terraform Ansible and/or Chef.
• Must have two (2) years with/in the following:
• Streaming and batch processing using at least two (2) of the following systems: Kafka RabbitMQ Apache Flink and/or Apache Beam;
• Data warehousing using Google BigQuery or Amazon Redshift; and
• Online advertising data and data solutions.
• Employer will accept any suitable combination of education training or experience.
• Telecommuting permitted on a hybrid schedule as determined by the employer.
• 40 hrs/week MonFri 8:30 a.m. 5:30 p.m.
