Job Description
A Polysomnographic Technologist performs comprehensive Polysomnographic testing and analysis and associated interventions under the general supervision of a Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) and/or under the clinical director (MD PhD DO) or designee. Responsibilities include conducting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures monitoring patients ensuring accurate data collection and educating patients on sleeprelated treatments.
Regulatory/Educational Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current BLS certification
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or
- Certified Polysomnographic Technologist (CPSGT) or
- A Registered Sleep Technologist (RST)
- A minimum of 1 one year applicable clinic setting experience.
Language Skills
- Able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
- Additional language preferred.
Skills
- Strong computer knowledge
- Ability to read analyze and interpret medical data and professional journals
- Ability to understand and use electronic healthcare records.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
