Role overview:
The Senior Associate will be responsible for supporting engagement delivery teams with executing engagementspecific objectives. The Senior Associate will be expected to play a role in developing the approach and strategy for driving progress against project milestones to help ensure timely submission of project deliverables. The Senior Associate is also tasked with evaluating performance communicating constructive feedback to peers and juniorlevel staff providing recommendations to management and establishing/maintaining client relationships. A qualified candidate will be able to multitask is dynamic and should be able to toggle between different processes and assignments with ease.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Receive new resource requests and validate requests have sufficient information to be processed.
- Requests additional information from requestors when needed.
- Assigned missions to appropriate branch.
- Responsible for coordinating consolidating and ensuring smooth implementation of program activities and adherence to logistics human resource administration and security procedures.
- Be responsible for operational planning to support an escalation of activities where a greater presence is required of state capacity to manage.
- Identify operational goals and objectives and create and maintain a tracking mechanism to ensure the team has awareness of progress in meeting these goals.
- Engage with direct and executive client leadership to identify and maintain team awareness of priorities and status.
- Manage engagement and communication with internal and external partners
- Work on multidisciplinary teams and build skills and core competencies with rich experiences and unique perspectives to serve clients of all sizes from diverse industries
- Provide input for engagement decisions including work plan timeline and project management
- Plan and organize workload and keep the Engagement Manager and / or workstream lead informed of status and activities
- Drive progress against project milestones to help ensure timely and quality delivery of engagement deliverables
- Manage multiple tasks and resources while prioritizing changing workloads
- Effectively analyze and validate large data sets and make relevant conclusions informed decisions and educated recommendations to Engagement Manager and / or workstream lead
- Conduct research using both systematic and qualitative research techniques
- Prepare correspondence and effectively communicate findings and results to client(s) and stakeholder(s)
- Demonstrate an understanding of advisory and quality control procedures as it relates to specific client engagement(s) and demonstrate the ability to teach others
- Perform peer reviews and selfreviews of the results prior to submitting work product to Engagement Manager and / or workstream lead.
- Supervise and mentor Junior Associates and Associates on engagements and provide contractor and vendor coordination / oversight
- Lead the development of market research proposal development and opportunity requests with tailored solution / client messaging
- Mentor team members on research processes and outcomes
- Seek memberships within relevant organizations to develop relationships and identify opportunities for management review
- **Ability to work 12 hour shifts 7 days per week for an extended period of time. Work on evenings and weekends may be required. Dependability and punctuality are paramount.
- **Ability to travel up to 50%. Must be willing to travel and deploy to client sites for extended periods of time.
- **Candidates may be required to undergo background screenings as required by clients for engagement delivery purposes. Continued employment is contingent upon successfully passing such screenings throughout the duration of employment.
What our ideal candidate looks like:
- Familiarity and experience using WebEOC
- Experience working in an Emergency Operations Center (EOC)
- Proficiency with technology including MS Office applications
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with data collection analysis and evaluation particularly with Microsoft Excel
- Work creatively and analytically in a problemsolving environment
- Excellent analytical skills keen attention to detail and exceptional interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
- Bachelors degree in business health and human services communications IT or related fields is preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or other industryrecognized certifications are preferred
