Were seeking an experienced and compassionate Food Service Director to oversee culinary and dining operations at two healthcare facilities in Conrad and Shelby MT. This is a rewarding leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in closeknit communities values personal connection and is passionate about providing nourishing meals that support healing wellness and dignity.

Your Role and Impact

As the Food Service Director youll lead food service operations across two rural healthcare locationsensuring compliance safety quality and satisfaction at each site. You will manage and support onsite staff partner with clinical teams and uphold high standards for meal preparation service and resident/patient care. Your leadership will directly enhance the daytoday experience of patients residents staff and families in both communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee food service operations at both healthcare locations ensuring consistent quality safety and service standards.
  • Hire train schedule and supervise kitchen and dining staff at each site.
  • Collaborate with dietitians nursing and care teams to meet dietary needs therapeutic diets and special meal requests.
  • Monitor and manage budgets food costs and labor utilization across both locations.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with federal state and local guidelines (e.g. CMS HACCP OSHA).
  • Conduct regular audits and site visits to ensure quality assurance and operational excellence.
  • Lead menu planning and implement seasonal updates in alignment with nutrition standards and resident preferences.
  • Foster a supportive teamoriented culture that values service integrity and respect.
  • Participate in or lead community events and initiatives that support engagement and wellness.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelors degree in Food Service Management Hospitality Nutrition or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 35 years of food service leadership experience ideally in healthcare senior living or multisite operations.
  • Strong understanding of dietary standards sanitation practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to coach and develop staff across locations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills especially in communitybased or rural settings.
  • ServSafe Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
  • Valid drivers license and willingness to travel between sites as needed.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision depth perception & ability to adjust focus.
  • Work indoors 80%; outdoors 20%
  • A hazard includes but are not limited to cuts from broken glass knifes production equipment and metal cans burns slipping and tripping.
  • Frequent washing of hands.
