Job Description

What does a Training and Retention Specialist do

Our Training and Retention Specialist provides classroom training for new employees and continues working on retention support systems including coaching mentoring and supplemental instruction to ensure the success and retention of our newly hired Direct Support Professionals.

Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • At least one year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities is required.
  • One year of experience training people is preferred.
  • Valid NYS Drivers License with 2 years of experience is required.
  • Flexibility to work mornings evenings and weekends.
  • Travel between Fulton Schoharie and Albany Counties is required.
