Job Description
Job Responsibilities
Under direct supervision of the program manager of institutional services the youthful offender reentry coordinator will provide program coordination and direction for all services provided to young adults in the second chance program at Allendale correctional institution.
Responsible for planning and facilitating all educational recreational personal enrichment and therapeutic activities for the young adults in the second chance unit.
Responsible for planning and coordinating all supportive individualized counseling services to include orientation assessment individual group and family counseling while maintaining appropriate components and materials as prescribed.
Responsible for ensuring appropriate documentation of all initial orientation and assessments crisis interventions and other support services are maintained within the automated record system and young adult record in accordance with young adult services policy recommendations and referrals for young adults and ensuring young adults receive prescribed treatment including medical and behavioral prescriptions upon release.
Responsible for unit representation with accountability review boards and all assigned institutional boards as needed.
Responsible for providing program development and staff training as needed.
Perform any additional duties as assigned by the YOIS manager or division director.

- State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and relevant program experience.SCDC Minimum Requirements:(Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).
- A bachelors degree and 1year professional experience in human services or social services programs;
OR- An associates degree and 3years professional experience in human services or social services programs;
OR- A high school diploma and 5years professional experience in human services or social services programs.
