The Role
Youll play a pivotal role in driving our ambitious growth targets. 10% of businesses bank with Monzo Business in the UK. Were now setting our sights on the switcher market helping established businesses find Monzo. Youll drive exploring designing testing and eventually scaling a sales go to market motion to expand our footprint in the switcher segment and create pathways for sustainable growth.
To succeed you should be excited about B2B sales and be experienced in strategic problem solving for establishing a sales team designing and building out a sales GTM motion and team and running a sales team in a high pace and ambiguous environment.
Youll play a key role by...
- Developing and validating our sales GTM strategy: Collaborate with the collective leadership to develop & validate a strategy that aligns with Monzos longterm vision and business objectives: identify the best product customer segments and sales approach.
- Creating structure and focus for the exploration of sales GTM: Drive decision making execution and measurement. Analyze results and make recommendations for action in a timely manner.
- Evaluating and executing the best sales model: assess the benefits of an inhouse team vs. external providers and implement the chosen approach (subject to your recommendation to go ahead or not).
- Testing and refining our sales approach: launch pilots set up infrastructure define key success metrics measure success and iterate based on realworld insights balancing scrappy and sustainable scalable approach to move thoughtfully at pace.
- Executing crossfunctionally: Work crossfunctionally with marketing product and operations to create gotomarket plans and solutions that meet our customer needs and ensure seamless execution and alignment.
- Managing daytoday operations: with a focus on performance against key sales metrics and to drive strategic decisions about sales as a GTM motion.
Wed love to hear from you if you have
- Proven Sales Leadership: Extensive experience leading B2B sales teams in FinTech SaaS or Financial Services with success in building and scaling highperforming teams in fastpaced settings.
- HandsOn Sales Experience: Proven experience as a quotacarrying B2B sales rep with a consistent track record of exceeding targets.
- Strategic Problem Solving: Experienced strategic problem solver with handson experience designing and executing sales GTM motions from scratch.
- Execution: Handson experience in setting up and leading sales in multiple models whether building an inhouse team or managing an external provider.
- Collaborative & Influential: Skilled in aligning stakeholders resolving conflicts and communicating effectively across teams to drive decisions and results.
- DataDriven & Analytical: Comfortable leveraging data to define KPIs measure performance and guide strategic decisions.
- Motivated & MissionAligned: A selfstarter who thrives in ambiguity passionate about Monzos mission and eager to build a sales function from the ground up.
