Salary: Ark Scale 3: Pay Points 25

Hours: 35.5 hours per week

About the role

As a Teaching Assistant you will support pupils parents and teachers to establish a supportive learning environment in which children make good academic progress. You will be instrumental in our mission to provide every student regardless of their background a great education and real choices in life.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Have experience of establishing successful learning relationships with a variety of pupils
  • Have a helpful positive calm and caring nature
  • Have genuine passion and belief in the potential of every pupil
  • Be able to understand and implement particular strategies and methods to help pupils to improve their learning and enjoyment of learning
  • Be able to help implement the necessary routines and patterns to establish good behaviour management within the school

Ark Ayrton are a two form entry primary school and nursery situated in the heart of Portsmouth close to the sea. We have high expectations of our children and for our children of what they can achieve. Our priorities are to ensure all children are here safe happy and learning well at all times.
