About the Role
As a Clinical Nurse at Riverland General Hospital youll be a key player in delivering personcentred care and providing clinical leadership. Youll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic multidisciplinary environment while overseeing patient care plans and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes. Additionally youll play a pivotal role in supporting the development of less experienced staff and assisting with the coordination of services.
This role offers a perfect balance of clinical responsibilities and leadership opportunities including the chance to develop your own portfolio and contribute to organisational projects and change management initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide proficient clinical nursing care to patients focusing on personcentred and individualised case management.
- Monitor and assess patient care plans to ensure quality outcomes are achieved.
- Oversee nursing/midwifery care within your team and provide leadership for shifttoshift operations.
- Support the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in a range of clinical educational and management activities.
- Participate in clinical teaching mentoring new staff and students and supporting professional development.
- Contribute to clinical research audits and the development of clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Lead and promote a learning culture and assist with maintaining portfolios and records of learning.
What Were Looking For
- Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years of fulltime equivalent postregistration experience.
- A strong commitment to delivering highquality nursing care in accordance with relevant standards.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to mentor and support less experienced staff.
- A passion for continuing professional development and contributing to a culture of learning.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
