DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Painter you will be a part of the Maintenance Department Paint Shop and performinterior and exterior painting of buildings fixtures and equipment. You will prepare surfaces for painting or staining plaster cracks and marks mix paints and stains as well as glaze and caulk windows and doors. You will also perform leadbased paint and asbestos abatement and encapsulation. This role requires thorough knowledge of skilled tasks in the painter trade and the ability to use sound judgement while efficiently completing assignments in a professional and safe manner. In addition you will attend required annual training interpret shop drawings and sketches and remove snow and ice to maintain a safe environment for patients staff and visitors.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Fulltime employment 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday Friday with a 30minute lunch. You will be subject to emergency callin.
- Overtime and travel as needed

- Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $39785.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Successful completion of the Building Trades Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title as determined by the Office of Administration);or
- Three years of experience in the painting trade;or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirement:
- You must be in possession of a valid Class C Drivers License.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including but not limited to PA State Police and FBI clearance.
