SPY6 Family of Radars is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Principal Infrastructure Architect to lead the strategic design development and implementation of our tactical operating systems software COTS across the FoR. This pivotal role will define the overarching architectural vision for our infrastructure to include support for our security technologies ensuring seamless integration strict adherence to standards and proactive adaptation to the everevolving infrastructure needs. The ideal candidate will possess profound technical mastery in infrastructure engineering and network architecture network security complemented by exceptional leadership acumen articulate communication abilities robust problemsolving capabilities and a passion for fostering the growth of junior team members. As a recognized thought leader you will champion innovation provide strategic counsel to both secure systems engineering (SSE) and broader cross product teams and play a key role in developing the next generation of System Engineering (SE) and SSE professionals.

What You will Do:
Strategic Vision and Leadership: Formulate and maintain the organizations longterm systems infrastructure architecture strategy ensuring its alignment with overarching naval radars goals and anticipating future security challenges. Provide expert thought leadership and strategic guidance on emerging paradigms and technological advancements.
Holistic Architectural Design and Implementation Oversight: Architect and design intricate enterprisegrade security solutions spanning a number of domains including network security identity and access management frameworks data protection strategies and endpoint security measures. Provide expert oversight during the implementation and seamless integration of these critical security solutions.
Security Standards and Governance: Support the Cyber Sustainment Lead in implementing comprehensive security architecture standards robust policies and industryleading best practices across the entirety of the family of radars technology infrastructure. Ensure unwavering compliance with all relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g. NIST 80053).
Technology Evaluation and Strategic Selection: in partnership with SSE CPT rigorously evaluate and strategically recommend technologies and vendor solutions based on stringent technical evaluations comprehensive costbenefit analyses and seamless alignment with established architectural requirements. Lead and execute thorough proofofconcept (POC) initiatives to validate technology effectiveness.
CrossFunctional Collaboration and Expert Communication: Foster seamless collaboration with teams including infrastructure software development and other engineering units to ensure the integration of security considerations throughout the entire technology lifecycle. Articulate complex technical concepts with clarity and precision to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Mentorship and Technical Guidance: Serve as a mentor and provide expert technical guidance to other secure systems engineers and other engineers within the team fostering a culture of continuous learning and security excellence. Actively participate in the training and development of junior cybersecurity engineers and architects. Provide guidance mentorship and knowledge transfer to help them grow their technical skills and understanding of infrastructure security principles and practices.
Comprehensive Documentation: Develop and maintain meticulous and comprehensive architecture documentation including detailed diagrams clearly defined standards and practical implementation guidelines.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Maintain a deep and current understanding of the latest cybersecurity threats emerging vulnerabilities and cuttingedge technologies. Proactively identify and champion opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation within the organizations security landscape.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelors in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 10 years of prior relevant experience.
A minimum of 15 years of experience in the cybersecurity domain with a significant and demonstrable focus on security architecture and infrastructure design.
Experience in architecting and implementing complex enterprisegrade solutions across multiple deployment models (onpremise hybrid environments) with a strong emphasis on Linuxbased systems particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
Knowledge of core network security technologies including advanced firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) virtual private networks (VPNs) network segmentation strategies and deep understanding of TCP/IP and other networking protocols.
An understanding of identity and access management (IAM) principles protocols and leading technologies with experience in Linuxbased authentication and authorization mechanisms.
Experience in designing and implementing robust data protection strategies and technologies including encryption methodologies and data loss prevention (DLP) solutions within Linux environments.
Analytical critical thinking and complex problemsolving skills with a demonstrated ability to make sound and strategic decisions.
Communication persuasive presentation and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to work independently take initiative and collaborate effectively within a highperforming team environment.
Leadership and strong influencing skills with the ability to drive consensus and achieve strategic objectives.
Experience in mentoring and guiding junior technical staff including those working with Linux and networking technologies
Ability to obtain security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience with DevSecOps principles practices and tooling.
Experience with RHEL based systems.
Knowledge of various infrastructure modeling methodologies and their practical application.
Experience working within the defense industry.
Proficiency in automation and scripting languages commonly used in security and infrastructure management (e.g. Python PowerShell Bash).
Experience developing and delivering technical training materials or workshops.
