The Education Program Consultant (WBL and IRCs) will be an integral member of the Bureau of CTE and Postsecondary Readiness providing technical assistance monitoring and support to school districts Area Education Agencies nonpublic schools community colleges and industry as is relates to workbased learning and industryrecognized Responsibilities:Provide leadership and technical assistance for workbased learning (WBL) to include:Collaborate with other agencies overseeing WBL and related programs and initiatives such as the Clearinghouse for WBLRepresent the Departments work on WBL on various regional state or national councils committees working groups and boardsProvide advocacy outreach promotional support and professional development for WBL programs initiatives and other related activities by attending and presenting at various inperson or virtual conferences trade shows or other eventsAs a representative of the CTE Bureau and when directed by the CTE Administrative Consultant or supervisor provide local education agencies (high schools school districts) across the state with technical assistance regarding WBL implementation; reporting of WBL for ESSA and Perkins; and use of Perkins regional planning partnership (RPP) and other grants for WBLDevelop and update WBL resources for successful implementation of workbased learning in school districts and community collegesProvide support and guidance for WBL grants or other financial support opportunitiesProvide leadership and technical assistance for industryrecognized credentials (IRCs) to include:Collaborate with other agencies overseeing IRCs and related programs and initiatives such as the stateapproved IRC listRepresent the Departments work on IRCs on various regional state or national councils committees working groups and boardsProvide outreach and professional development for IRC programs initiatives and other related activities by attending and presenting at various inperson or virtual conferences trade shows or other eventsAs a representative of the CTE Bureau and when directed by the CTE Administrative Consultant or supervisor provide local education agencies (high schools school districts) across the state with technical assistance regarding IRC implementation; reporting of IRC for ESSA and Perkins; and use of Perkins regional planning partnership (RPP) and other grants for IRCsDevelop and update IRC resources for successful implementation of IRCs in school districts and community collegesProvide support and guidance for IRC grants or other financial support opportunitiesAssist with CTErelated projects including the development and preparation of policy reports and publications that integrate into the following areas: Workbased learningiIndustryrecognized credentials concurrent enrollment career academy development career and academic pathways secondary and postsecondary linkages intersecting CTE college and career readiness and 21st century skills and connections with business/ are encouraged to include detailed information about their relevant experience in their application or submit a cover letter and resume in addition to their application.
