Intervention Inc. a Colorado nonprofit provides services within the criminal justice system across the state of Colorado including sobriety monitoring (UAs/BAs) electronic monitoring probation supervision and community corrections.
This position works closely with the Probation Department Victim Assistance Coordinator. The individual will support engage and empower victims and survivors as we assist them in navigating the criminal legal system specifically Probation. Duties will also involve enforcing the Victims Rights Amendment. The individual will collaborate with many entities including probation officers attorneys community agencies and law enforcement. Additionally an important aspect of this position will be offering and potentially facilitating restorative opportunities to both victims/survivors and probation clients.
Collaborate with community partners/collateral contacts (District Attorneys Public Defenders Victim/Survivor agencies Law Enforcement Child Support Restorative Justice organizations etc.)
Direct written and verbal communication with victims/survivors clients and collateral contacts
Attend team meetings and other meetings in probation and collateral agencies
Support Victim Assistance Coordinator with protection orders PreSentence Investigations Restitution and other victim/survivor needs
Monitor VRA compliance within probation
Enter data from case work proofread and revise documents
Help review and analyze data
Assess probation clients and other parties for readiness for RJ processes
Support and participate in trainings and events
Enter data in Access database
Learn and use a wide variety of probation/court tools
Qualifications & Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age and have a of high school diploma.
Undergraduate students and those with a college degree in Criminal Justice Social or Behavioral Sciences or a related field are strongly encouraged to apply.
Knowledge of Evidenced Based Practices Gender Specific Programming and Trauma Informed Care is helpful.
Must have a valid drivers license current insurance and have a reliable vehicle.
Must be physically capable of participating in and successfully completing the Judicial Branch safety training programs.
Required to pass a criminal background check prior to hire.
Starting Pay:$28.69/hour
Hours: Full time day shift MF
