Job Description Summary:

We are seeking an entrepreneurial Capture Team Leader to lead the pursuit of infrastructure funding to enable the delivery of Hardened and Secure microelectronic solutions as well as programs to increase the capability and resiliency of the US microelectronics industrial base. Working within the Electronic Systems Growth and Capture organization responsibilities include understanding the Electronic Systems strategy business and technology goals working with the Draper Corporate Strategy Office to identify and develop relationships within Federal state and local government agencies and ultimately capturing funding to enable transition of Drapers innovative technologies into solutions for national security sponsors.

Additionally the Capture Team Leader will:
Establish maintain and execute the Electronics Systems ME Capital plan to capture new infrastructure funding necessary to attain the Electronic Systems business goals.
Coordinate with the Corporate Strategy Office to establish and maintain a high level of contact with Federal State and Local government offices able to provide and/or support Drapers infrastructure funding.
Generate regular reports from customer relationship management and other tools that demonstrate Electronic Systems progress toward achieving its infrastructure goals.
Work across Electronic Systems and Draper functional areas to develop necessary white papers presentations budgets and proposals to achieve the infrastructure funding goals.
Oversee capture program budget and schedules and ensure alignment with the Draper Business Winning Organization and the Chief Strategy Office

Duties/Responsibilities

Develop personal credibility with sponsor organizations and program staff with a clear ability to organize motivate and lead teams in business capture and execution activities.

Responsible for managing complex programs that may involve managing fixed price contract with high dollar volume or contract length.

Oversees program budget and schedules.
Responsible for program growth.
Responsible for marketing new technology or followup on business acquisition.
May be responsible for business development within current customer base and/or for new customers.
Responsible for program execution including interfacing with customers
Coordinating successful execution of programs with internal stakeholders.
Ensures contractual deliverables are completed on schedule and within the approved budget.
Support Program Directors Business Area Leads and Senior Program Managers in the development of internal products and provide recommendations for research and development.
Develop technical program management best practices and provide training/mentoring to project teams
Monitors dependencies across multiple interrelated technical projects to adhere to methodologies budgets and timing
Gather and report consolidated technical project status and financial information to leadership
Recommends changes to improve processes and alleviate process inaccuracy and duplication.

Deep expertise in leading program execution of full lifecycle projects; identifying capturing and growing new business; and managing customer engagement.

Experience growing business in the areas of R&D technology development and/or integration of new technology into existing fielded systems.

Excellent written and verbal communications presentations skills organizational and time management skills. Must be able to clearly and concisely present complicated information and relationships to executive leadership peers staff customers and stakeholders.

Passion about Drapers nonprofit mission to make impact on the most challenging national security problems

Education
Bachelors Degree in Engineering Business or equivalent discipline required.

Experience
57 years program related experience in functional or program management.
Experience in program related area with functional or program management.

Additional Job Description:

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to maintain hightouch collaborative trustbased relationships across midlevel to senior leadership positions
  • Established relationships and/or organizational understanding of agencies within DoD and Intelligence communities.
  • Experience working within the field of secure or hardened microelectronics for USG applications.
  • Strong knowledge of the microelectronics ecosystem current government initiatives and the technologies underpinning these areas.
