We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Liverpool to assist with the appointment of a Market Operative on a 1month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 13.76 17.89 per Hour
Summary:
The Market Operative will be responsible for setting up and dismantling market stalls/cabins maintaining cleanliness and safety across the sites managing waste and recycling processes and delivering excellent customer service to traders and the public. The role includes physical outdoor work and operating machinery when qualified.
Responsibilities:
- Build and dismantle market stalls temporary structures and cabins across various sites.
- Perform daily and periodic cleaning duties ensuring high hygiene standards.
- Handle waste removal and recycling procedures across market locations.
- Operate cleaning and transport machinery including forklifts (if qualified).
- Respond to nonroutine situations effectively and safely.
- Drive 7.5 tonne vehicles for transporting stalls (C1 licence required).
- Support traders and customers by providing helpful information and assistance.
Essentials:
- Possession of a valid UK driving licence including category C1 (7.5 tonne vehicles).
- Willingness to undertake any necessary training (including forklift operation if required).
- Experience in public cleaning customer service or manual handling roles.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.

- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
