Grounds Maintenance Technician
Based Derby
Hours 40hrs per week
What this job involves:
As a Grounds Maintenance Technician at JLL youll play a crucial role in shaping a brighter way for our client RollsRoyce by maintaining beautiful and functional outdoor spaces across various properties. In this position youll be part of a collaborative team that embraces innovative ways of working to deliver exceptional results. Your expertise in grounds maintenance horticultural practices and equipment operation will contribute to creating sustainable and visually appealing environments suited to the UK climate.
What your daytoday will look like:
- Perform regular lawn care activities including mowing edging and trimming
- Maintain flower beds trees and shrubs through pruning planting and fertilising
- Operate and maintain various landscaping equipment and tools
- Implement and maintain irrigation systems suitable for the UK climate
- Conduct basic hardscape maintenance and minor repairs
- Monitor and report on landscape health pest issues and potential hazards
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
- Maintenance work on sports pitches including grass tennis courts
- Assist with room and event setups in main pavilion.
Required Qualifications:
- GCSE or equivalent qualifications
- Experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping
- Proficiency in operating UKstandard landscaping equipment and tools
- Knowledge of British horticultural practices and plant
- Valid UK driving licence
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Experience with sustainable landscaping practices
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and basic troubleshooting
- Familiarity with landscape design principles
- Health and Safety awareness.
