Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate dependable Med Tech / CNA to join our care team. This dualrole position is responsible for providing highquality handson patient care as a Certified Nursing Assistant while also administering medications and maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with state regulations and facility policies.
Satisfactorily access and maneuver in the electronic record to obtain necessary information.
Answer call lights and resident requests and notify nursing staff in a timely manner.
Safely administer medications according to physicians orders following infection control standards and universal precautions.
Document medication administration accurately in the electronic system.
Report changes in residents conditions to Charge Nurse or Supervisor and to others on the unit at shift change and throughout the shift as needed.
Work with the charge nurse to reorder medications in a timely manner.
Fulfill other duties contained in the CNA job description.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES AND TRAITS:
Ability to read write and follow oral instructions.
Completed approved Nurse Aide Training course.
Completed Med Tech training.
Currently listed with the NC Nurse Aide Registry.
Good standing with the state Med Aide Registry.
