We are currently seeking anConstruction Inspectorto join ourFacilities & Infrastuctureteam.

SUMMARY

We are seeking a Construction Inspector to join our team to support our client in Newark NJ. The ideal candidate will have experience in rail and public transit projects ensuring compliance with safety standards specifications and contract requirements. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the quality and integrity of construction projects from inception to completion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct onsite inspections of construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications drawings and applicable codes.
• Monitor work progress and report on quality safety and project timelines.
• Collaborate with contractors engineers and project managers to address issues and implement solutions.
• Review and approve material submittals and shop drawings.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections observations and communications.
• Prepare inspection reports and documentation for project stakeholders.
• Participate in safety meetings and promote a culture of safety on job sites.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 13 years of experience in construction inspection with a focus on rail and public transit projects.
• Knowledge of relevant codes standards and construction practices.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools and software.
• Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
