The Role:

We have an opportunity for a passionate committed and creative Social Worker in the Independence and Wellbeing Services Community Facing Team covering Mid Cornwall.

This is a full time position a role where youll use evidence based practice to deliver strengths based and holistic outcomes.

Within this team the social work focus is initial contact and assessment work to gather information and consider the most appropriate next steps utilising a solutions focused approach. This would include providing information and advice responding to Safeguarding Concerns signposting connecting to other agencies working closely with the voluntary sector progressing to reablement or undertaking an assessment with a focus on maximising independence and wellbeing through utilising social care and occupational therapy pathways.

This is a public/customerfacing role where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.

This position will be subject to anenhancedcriminal record disclosure check.

What youll need to succeed:

We welcome applications from newly qualified Social workers (NQSW) who need to complete their first Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE). Please refer to Grade 3 Social Worker (Adults) role profile when applying.

You will be a social worker qualified with a Social Work Degree Social Work Qualification (Dip. SW) or equivalent and registered with Social Work England who will have:

Should your experience as a social worker be within another sector (such as Childrens Social Care or the Voluntary sector) we provide additional support to transition into adult social work through a supported induction period.
